Band Wanted

Musicians Wanted

Boomer wants to play Grateful Dead style music . Guitarist/vocalist looking for relatively refined players to play with. I love rehearsing and performing. Diversity is good; age, gender, what’s important is good musical skills, sensitivity and good interpersonal skills. I’m looking to join or start a band. Of course I love Jerry and the acoustic work he did. My favorite time for the dead was in the 70’s when I lived in Berkeley and my friends and I would go over to Winterland to see the Grateful Dead or the Keystone to see Jerry & Merle.

In Sonoma County California, Santa Rosa, Windsor, Cotati and the West County area are my driving range. Maybe Petaluma or Healdsberg too.

Currently I am principal guitar player for the Sebastopol Love Choir. For many years I had a band called Nine Mile Skid that rehearsed forever and did occasional local gigs. I have done a lot of performing as a guitar soloist, balladeer and with various duo’s and collaborations. I have started to sorely miss playing all those wonderful Grateful Dead and Jerry songs that I know and love, and would love to connect with some accomplished players to bring those songs and music to life. I am not a renderer, I like to play the songs and enjoy the improvisations that unfold from the taste and talents of each individual musician. I have a pretty clean lifestyle with not much drinking, cussing or blaming others for my problems. I want to focus on the music and hopefully bring it to appreciative audiences.

Here is a list of some of the GD and Jerry songs i like to play. Of course there are many other artist i like too.
